DuneBerry - In Celebration of the Resort Lifestyle

DuneBerry Resort Wear is a unique, fun, colorful happy-place shopping experience in upscale multigenerational "Family" Resort Wear – It’s a Celebration of what’s fun about resort lifestyle apparel.

Our use of the “Dune” name was both driven by our love for the now internationally famous Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore (home of our original DuneBerry store in Leland, MI); and in creating a somewhat nonsensical, whimsical and fun name for our Women’s, Men’s & Children’s Resort Wear boutiques. As children, we looked forward to going to the Sand Dunes on the Northwest Lake Michigan shoreline every summer – ahhh… the fun and carefree “Dune Life” where the windswept sand meets the blue water and blue sky! We hope you will enjoy our celebration of what’s fun and special about the “Dune Life,” and Resort Living - we create a very special experience for you and your friends in our classic, Preppy and sophisticated women’s, men’s & children’s resort wear (gifts & accessories) boutique - DuneBerry Resort Wear.

A “Dune Berry” is a Beach Strawberry (Fragaria Ananassa 'Lipstick' Strawberry flower). This small wild ancestor of our cultivated strawberry is a hybrid of this species and the forest strawberry. The Dune Berry does not grow so much on the beach proper but close by on sand dunes in coastal areas.

HISTORY

MAY 2012

Ann and Jim Nash incorporated The Dune Berry, LLC dba DuneBeery Resort Wear

and opened as a Women's Boutique downtown in the Resort town of Traverse City, MI

FEBRUARY 2014

The store was moved 25 miles northwest to the coastal village of Leland. Men's and

Children's resort wear were added along with gifts and accessories. Both stores were

seasonal, operating only 6-months out of the year with 85% of the business coming in

a 12-week period June through August.

OCTOBER 2018

Dune Holdings Group, Inc. was formed and incorporated to be the umbrella company for all

DuneBerry, eLIVE Omni and related enterprises. Initially the focus was on eShop LIVE and

the development of DuneBerry Brand and other related products, services and enterprise. It

was to be the future parent company for franchising DuneBerry, which was delayed until

DuneBerry established a year-around store and further developed the brand.

FEBRUARY 2021

DuneBerry Pinehurst, LLC was incorporated in North Carolina and our DuneBerry Resort

Wear store in the Historic District of Pinehurst was opened. Our Pinehurst, NC location

enabled us to operate a 12-month year-around store.

OCTOBER 2021

Our seasonal Leland store was closed after 10 successful years, which provided us

with an exceptional reputation for the DuneBerry name (brand reconition) and a

status unmatched for our exceptional customer service, in a multi-state area and as

far away as California.

JULY 2023

After two full years of operation in NC and after much consideration and many requests

from DuneBerry customers DuneBerry makes a decision and begins preparation to

franchise DuneBerry Resort Wear.

LOOKING FORWARD

Dune Holdings Group anticipates being ready to franchise by January

2024 and are currently talking to interested parties. Initially we hope

to open several stores in North Carolina and then in surrounding States.

DuneBerry Resort Wear owners will be entrepreneurs interested and

experienced in fashion retail…we will help them in every way to succeed

in owning their own small business enterprise. We look for franchisees who are

likeminded and have a passion to follow their dream in successful ownership

and operation of a unique DuneBerry Resort Wear store. Our proven brand,

model, decades of successful experience in fashion retail and our diversified

team of retailing executives, our resources, training, coaching, and unique

services and systems provide a successful model that is second to none.

NOVEMBER 2018

eShop LIVE ("elo") was first conceived and developed over 2019 - COVID in 2020 slowed

the progress as did the move to North Carolina to open our current store. eShop LIVE

under the banner of eLIVE Omni is a propritary service and system that is exclusively

used for remote shoping in DuneBerry Resort Wear stores (see website)
